COLOR, COLOR, COLOR
Things continue to stay very busy here at the ranch. We are into another breeding season with kids hitting the ground a couple of weeks ago and we will continue to kid through the first part of March. Lets hope that all the does that we've turned out are covered!
The first group of kids are amazing. We had mostly first time moms and each doe had triplets except for one and all are doing great! Our Truffles doe, a red, waddled percentage doe threw us triplets, two paint kids with waddles and a traditional.
We continue to strive for a better boer meat goat with our selective breeding. Ensuring that the buck we place with each of our does will only compliment and improve our herd. We've continued to add color to our herd, with some amazing markings on our kids.
With these carefully planned pairings, we are producing percentage and fullblood boer goats with color and conformation. Please contact us if you are interested in adding color and these proven pedigrees to your herd.

THE FUN AND WINNING CONTINUES IN 2011
At the 2011 IBGA National Show, our buck Blev Snort This A489 placed second in the 3 to 6 month buck class. Snort This is out of our Hobby St. Kori W044 doe and BVB3 Can't Deny This.
Blevins Boer Goats is starting this year off with a bang. Our new buckling, Blev WH Royal Jack A500, born January 23, 2011, took Reserve Grand Champion Junior Buck at his first show on April 3, 2011. We can't wait for more International Boer Goat Assocation shows to take Jack and our other show goats to. Please check our "Show Goats" page for pictures and additional information on these shows.

William H continues to impress us with his kids. A doe out of William H was the 4-H Reserve Champion Market Wether at the 2010 Stanislaus County Fair. Check our "Show Goat" page for additional information on this win. We have other does available from our herd sires that can go on to win for you and add pizazz and sizzle to your herd.

Blevins Boer Goats is located near the base of the Sutter Buttes about an hour north of Sacramento, in the community of Live Oak, California. Jon and I are a two-person team, taking care of all the goat activities with the help of Tina, Rip and Ellie, our three border collies, Leroy, our Akbash, who does a great job guarding everyone, and our newest addition, a miniature australian shephard named Riley.

Our adventure into Boer goats started in 2007 when our niece Lexi raised her first market goat for the Yuba-Sutter Fair. Once we decided to venture into the Boer goat business, we started by researching other breeders and pedigrees.
The purchase of Hobby Dabi Marshall and Ann 7B142 Root Beer from Boers by Hobby are the basis of our breeding program. We raise 100% fullblood and percentage Boer goats for sale. Both bucks bring to our ranch excellent traits that will only enhance the potential of our does. In December 2008 we had our second kidding here at Blevins Boer Goats. We have a Don Smith doe, DSM 2X Sunset, that was bred by Boers by Hobby to DSM Snort that produced a doeling and a buckling. That buck is now are third herd sire. Hobby Blev SN William H X407 is our wether maker. He has been bred to some of our best does and we are extremely excited to see the wethers that will be produced.
