Blevins Boer Goats is located near the base of the Sutter Buttes about an hour north of Sacramento, in the community of Live Oak, California. Jon and I are a two-person team, taking care of all the goat activities with the help of Tina, Rip and Ellie, our three border collies and Bailey, our yellow lab.

Leroy
We have recently added another dog to our ranch. Welcome to Leroy, an Akbash. He will be tending and protecting our boer goats for us.

Our adventure into Boer goats started in 2007 when our niece Lexi raised her first market goat for the Yuba-Sutter Fair. Once we decided to venture into the Boer goat business, we started by researching other breeders and pedigrees.

The purchase of Hobby Dabi Marshall and Ann 7B142 Root Beer from Boers by Hobby are the basis of our breeding program. We raise 100% fullblood and percentage Boer goats for sale. Both bucks bring to our ranch excellent traits that will only enhance the potential of our does. In December we had our second kidding here at Blevins Boer Goats. We have a Don Smith doe, DSM 2X Sunset, that was bred by Boers by Hobby to DSM Snort that produced a doeling and a buckling. We are extremely excited about the pairing. Also, we have several other percentage and full blood does bred to both Marshall and Root Beer that are showing some excellent show and market wether prospects, as well as two solid red kids, out of Root Beer.
